Freud
John Huston was very keen to land Marilyn for his movie on the man who invented psychoanalysis, but Marilyn’s analyst Ralph Greenson thought that this was not an appropriate project for her at this rather emotionally volatile time of her life. An alternative story runs that Marilyn refused to take on the project because she believed that Anna Freud was not happy that a movie was being made about her father. The 1962 Universal movie starred Montgomery Clift and Susannah York.
