Dear Birth-mother:

I found you on Facebook tonight. Although I have seen pictures of you before, it was nice to see what you look like now.

I wish that there was something I could say to you, but I wouldn’t know where to start or end.

So I suppose I will just say nothing, but quietly admire your bravery and courage those 21 years ago when you lovingly gave me to the best parents in the world.

Thank you doesn’t begin to describe the gratitude I feel.

You gave me a chance at a better life.

You gave me a chance at life to begin with.

You gave me a chance to have wonderful parents who love me more than anything.

You gave me a chance for love, success, and happiness.

I may not have known the difference had she chosen otherwise, but I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the bravery, and selflessness of one woman

Thank you.
